Honestly, I'm mortified with the result. I was able to participate in this contest again and this time, I was in the speech section. The speech section is to present your own speech. It was pretty hard to make the draft than I thought it would be. I spent much time thinking about what I really wanted to express. During the process, I found it enjoyable to translate the Japanese draft into the English one. The title of my speech was "Stepping Forward". I wrote things about what I felt and thought in the speech contest last year. On the day of the contest, I wasn't nervous at all and I think I did my best. I was really happy to get the second prize, but on the other hand, I was mortified to miss the first prize. I guess I was able to experience many different things since last year. If I have another chance, I want to participate in the contest again and try to revenge myself. I really appreciate my English teachers and the principal.
