CA won the National Championship in the English Recitation Section of All Japan Inter-Commercial High School English Speech Contest for the Zensho Trophy which was held on January 8th 2006,in Tokyo.
47 participants represented each prefecture. Sachiho Mizutani (15) from CA took the top prize in the Recitation Section. It is the first time for Aichi prefecture to win this competition in 22 attempts.
I am so happy that I won this contest! But still I can not believe it. I was in the recitation section, and I did a speech about Madam Curie. Since the manuscript was already prepared by the Zensho,it was hard to put in my own expression and also to say it correctly.
The other participants from other prefectures were also speaking fluent English, and it was a great experience for me. Principal, Mr. Kurihara also came to see the contest, so I was able to do my best without getting nervous.
I really thank all the teachers that gave me lots of advice and my friends and my family that supported me. I think that's why I was able to receive this great award. From now on, I would like to challenge many things and study more English. Thank you very much.
