We welcomed a student from Malaysia

Participation in the shodo class of 102

Her name is Faizan Puteri Syafawati. She is a sixteen years old girl. She came to Japan on September 10th and had a study in Tokyo. Then she came to CA on the 17th.
She has been learning Japanese for three years, and English for ten years.
So she is very good at English. According to her, Malay people have to use English when they speak to a lot of Chinese in Malaysia because they canft speak Malay. We learned that English is a necessary language in the daily life in Malaysia, not only a subject they study at school.
Puteri mainly took the classes of 308, the third grade International Economic Studies, but she took part in some other classes of the first grade students, for example, shodo , Japanese calligraphy, soloban, abacus, and so on.

Introduction of herself in the soloban class of 103 and 104

She has some knowledge about soloban.

At first, we were a little worried about whether she might feel lonely or inconvenient in CA, but we didnft have to worry about these at all. She has interests in many things, challenges anything, and is very positive for talking to anyone. We really admire her.

She is a Muslim. She always wears a scarf except the time of PE class, gives a prayer even in a school, and never eats any kind of meat, not only pork. Puteri stayed at CA until September the 29th. We think the two weeks was a wonderful chance for us to be able to learn many things from Puteri, who has different culture.

We hope that Puteri will love CA and Japan much more.

Lunch time in 308 Her lunch is onigiri, rice ball.

On the day of Ichiritsutaikai, the special event of Nagoya city high schools for sports, art, and music held on September the 21st, she went to watch kendo with some friends.

(Message from Puteri)
